Executive Coach Feedback

As a Northeast Leadership Academy Intern, each fellow was assigned an Executive Coach. I was privileged to have Dr. Andy Overstreet as my Executive Coach. Dr. Andy Overstreet has worked over 30 years in the public schools of Virginia and North Carolina as a teacher, principal and superintendent. Throughout this year Dr. Overstreet served as my mentor; he encouraged me to reflect on my practice on a weekly basis and provided thoughtful feedback on my reflections, conducted joint teacher observations and debriefs with me, collaborated with my mentor principal on my progress, and met with me regularly to discuss challenges I faced or anticipated facing in my schools. In addition, Dr. Overstreet completed three assessments of my proficiency on the NC School Executive Evaluation Rubric for Pre-Service Candidates, and discussed with me my areas of progress and areas for growth. Dr. Overstreet is an amazing leader whose coaching has been one of the most impactful experiences I have had this school year!
