Personal Vision Statement

“All students have a right to obtain an equal education. Each child is capable of learning and each child learns differently. My promise is to do my best in preparing my students to become life long learners. I will teach that education is the key to any outlet in life. I will model for colleagues, teachers, parents and students alike that ones learning should never end.”

I will give 110% of my efforts to helping others. I am known for my strong desire to learn and constantly improve as well as seeing that ALL children have access to a quality education. I will earn a second Masters in School Administration – with this MSA emphasis on rural school turnaround. I have witnessed and observed some of the best administrators in North Carolina! It is imperative to our quality of life that we do what is best for ALL children. I share in the belief that learning can be a “win-win” situation for each and every child – regardless of race, sex and income.

I desire to be an effective school leader. I remain committed to ensuring that ALL children receive a quality education. Despite life’s many struggles…I am a resilient leader. After I successfully complete the Northeast Leadership Academy Program, I plan to be a 21st century leader to “watch.” As a community school leader, I will always seek out opportunities to be an active voice in my community. Despite the many challenges facing schools, the students I supervise will not only excel academically their teachers and staff will grow professionally in a healthy environment for all. Together we will work as a strong collective unit determined to thrive…despite any obstacle that may come our way!

As an educational leader I cannot attain goals alone. It will take the effort of continuously soliciting the input of individuals in and outside the school community. I must maintain an open line of communication with stakeholders that could assist in achieving goals. I must remember to celebrate the many accomplishments of others along the way. The vision will always lead me back to narrowing the existing achievement gap while providing the best educational opportunity for all students.
